Cali, capital del departamento del Valle del Cauca, segunda ciudad de la República de Colombia, ha sido testigo de 470 años de historia. Cálida y alegre ciudad, ofrece al visitante -además de la calidez de sus gentes- varios lugares de interés, monumentos históricos y arquitectónicos, plazas, parques y museos, iglesias, calles que nos hacen retroceder con nostalgia en el tiempo....
Y cuando llega la noche, con su fresca brisa, Cali abre las puertas a la alegría contagiosa de sus centros nocturnos, donde la salsa se baila con la mayor de las destrezas. Pero hay más...... porque por Cali pasan de manera permanente los mejores intérpretes de la música popular, el teatro y todas las expresiones de la cultura y las bellas artes.
Cali es el epicentro de Colombia sobre el Pacifico. Su gente cálida, alegre y amable, quienes reciben con gran afecto y sencillez a sus visitantes, se convierte en el mayor atractivo de esta ciudad cosmopolita, de imagen nacional e internacional. Los días soleados se complementan con la agradable brisa que de la cordillera por los Farallones refresca las tardes caleñas. No obstante, los alrededores naturales que tiene la ciudad permiten en pocos minutos disfrutar de ambientes campestres con clima templado.
Los ríos y quebradas que circundan la ciudad son un atractivo para que el turista disfrute su permanencia. Igualmente cuenta con una completa infraestructura deportiva y recreativa, lo que la hace modelo a nivel mundial en el campo de la recreación popular.
A orillas del río Cali y sus alrededores encontrará el turista edificios y monumentos que constituyen el patrimonio histórico de la ciudad. Sus museos y teatros también guardan la tradición. La actividad cultural y artística permanente tiene su máxima expresión cada dos años en el Festival de Arte y se complementa cada diciembre con la programación de la Feria de Cali.
La ciudad cuenta con una bella arquitectura urbana punto de convergencia entre las realizaciones contemporáneas y los barrios tradicionales en donde se conservan museos, iglesias y teatros declarados hoy monumentos nacionales. Estos valores arquitectónicos cuentan con el más bello marco natural formado por los cerros de Cristo Rey y las Tres Cruces y la colina de San Antonio. Cali se convierte así en el lugar ideal para visitar.

Cali, capital of Valle del Cauca state, the second city of the Republic of Colombia, has witnessed 470 years of history.
